Karachi,  The winners of the first leg of the 6th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest organized by Indus Motor Company concluded on Sunday, February 19, 2012 in Karachi at a grand event.More than 130 schools from across Pakistan participated in the contest, which was conducted during January and February, 2012.

Besides a large number of schools, students with special needs from vocational schools also participated in this nationwide contest.
Speaking on the occasion Parvez Ghias, CEO, Indus Motor Company said that the idea behind the TOYOTA Dream Car Art Contest is to promote creativity and to give opportunities to children to express their dreams and use their imagination through art by drawing a Future Dream Car.

Mahasaru Sato, Consul General of Japan was the chief guest at the Karachi event. The senior management of Indus Motor Company was also present. Other guests included Behroz Sabzwari and Ayaz Khan.

Indus Motor Company has been organizing the Dream Car Art program in Pakistan for the last five years as part of the global Toyota initiative aimed at developing Toyota brand awareness, affinity and association among young people.

The contest in Karachi was judged by a panel of experts that included Tazeen Hussain and Aaliya Yousuf of the Indus Valley, Samina Jamali, CEO, Design Matters and Ambreen Khan, Art Teacher. The top three winners of the Dream Car Art Contest from Karachi were Muneeza Ahmed, Maria Shah and Tehseen Sadiqa.

Similar grand events will also be held in Lahore and Islamabad and a total of 15 entries will be selected as winners of the National Dream Car Contest, representing children under 10 years, 10 to 12 years and 13 to 15 years. The artworks will be sent to Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), Japan for inclusion in the World Art Contest that will take place in April 2012 in Japan.
