According to a SSGC release issued here, all the CNG stations in Sindh will remain closed for 24 hours from 9 am on Saturday 21 April till 9 am on Sunday 22 April 2012. Current account deficit widens to $2.95bn in 8 months
KARACHI: Pakistan’s current account deficit has widened to an alarming $2.95 billion during the first eight months of the current fiscal year as against the deficit of only $194 million in the corresponding period last year, according to the provisional data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday. Analysts say lack of external inflows due to global and national economic downturn and higher import payments are largely behind widening current account deficit. The trade deficit grew sharply during the period owing to fall in exports and huge import payments, the data said.
