PESHAWAR: The Foundation for Fundamental Rights (FFR) on Wednesday filed two writ petitions in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on behalf of the victims of the drone strikes in North Waziristan and requested the court to direct the federal government to give permission to the Pakistan Air Force to shoot down drones flying in Pakistan’s territory. The FFR, a Pakistan-based legal charity filed the writ petitions through its director legal Barrister Shahzad Akbar. The British human rights lawyer Clive Stafford Smith was also present in the court along with victims of the drone strikes
