The Position: Pricing Officer

Job Responsibilities:

1- Prepare online fares circular through pricing system. Coordinate / Communicate with pricing Department in Dubai for;

a) Preparation of interline fare circular, Finalizing Area one fare circular, Obtaining Tactical fares, ADHOCS, Special Fares, Rectifying technical issues in GDS etc
b) Obtaining approvals for groups through GYM and releasing them to Agents through emails.

2) To assist both internal & external customers in pricing related queries.

3- To prepare Agent Incentive Scheme for South Pakistan for onward approval from the Head Office.

4- To advise all Pakistan Sales Support/Pricing Teams of their action plan. To update and brief them about any new rules and procedures, techniques and technicalities, future policies, fare updates etc.

5- To suggest pricing initiatives and also monitor competitor’s activities in our market.

6- Ensure coordination with head office and corporate to get the correct pricing discounts for corporate and to lock corporate deals accordingly. Based on head office approval prepare corporate agreements.

7- To lead the pricing / sales support team in professional manner and arrange presentations / work shops to update all relevant EK staff / Department heads and Agents about new fares and policies as far as pricing is concerned. Follow up with the Sales Executives and conduct small workshops for those agents who are not clear with new policies. Update their knowledge of EK products.

8- To answer queries of the agents receiving through telephones and Emails. To ensure that agents are briefed about our product being launched time to time. Tactical Fares are conveyed to the agents as soon as approved.

9- Checking of PUC’s raised by Head Office as far as pricing related matters are concerned.

Experience and Qualifications:

Qualification:

Minimum Graduate.

Experience:

1.Minimum of 5-7 years experience in the airline industry covering fares, ticketing, refunds & reservations etc ;
2.Must have completed advanced fares and ticketing courses from a recognized institute or IATA / UFTAA advanced course
3.A thorough knowledge of MARS, CRS systems and PC systems.
4.Strong Negotiation skills
5.Ability to communicate fluently in spoken and written English

Must have the right to work and live in Pakistan. The company will not provide or assist with obtaining work permits.
