SA passes law to remove encroachments on land above watercourses

Dacoit killed, accomplice, cop injured
Karachi, An alleged bandit was killed while another suspect and a cop were wounded in two police encounters in different areas of the city, police said on Wednesday. A duty officer at the Kalri police station said a police patrol signaled two persons riding on a motorcycle but they did not stop and instead started firing. A bullet hit Head Constable Habib-ur-Rehman and the police returned fire, which killed a suspect later identified as Gul Nabi whereas his accomplice managed to flee.
