Karachi, In spite of frequent traffic jams in Saddar – a commercial hub of the city - the authorities are reluctant to deploy city wardens in the area to remove road encroachments and help in smooth traffic flow. The chief of city wardens says that deployment of traffic wardens was not allowed in the area from Frere Road up to Saddar Dawakhana, a thoroughfare which is regularly crammed with snarl ups. “Our wardens were deployed some months back in the traffic-congested areas of Saddar, however concerned authorities ordered our removal for some reasons known to them.
THE Punjab cabinet is scheduled to meet here on Wednesday (today) to approve drafts of some laws as well as an amendment to the Punjab Sugar Factories Control Act 1950.
