No. Legis 1-122/Law/2000-VIII, dated 26-11-2002.—The following Ordinance made by the Governor of Balochistan 22nd November, 2002, is hereby published for general information: –
Preamble.–-Whereas, it is .expedient further to amend the Balochistan Local Government Election Ordinance, 2000, in the manner hereinafter appearing:
And whereas, the Governor of Balochistan is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of Article 4 of the Provisional Constitution (Amendment) Order, 1999 (Chief Executive’s Order No. 9 of 1999) and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the Governor of Balochistan is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:—
1. Short title and commencement
(1) This Ordinance may be called the Balochistan Local Government Election (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2002.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of section 18A of Ordinance VI of 2000
In the Balochistan Local Government Election Ordinance, 2000, in section 18A.-
(i) in subsection (4), for the word “sixty days”, the words “one hundred and twenty days” shall be substituted; and
(ii) in subsection (5) for the words “thirty days”, the words “one, hundred and twenty days” shall be substituted.
