Preamble.??Whereas, it is expedient further to amend the Balochistan Ground Water Rights Administration Ordinance, 1978, in the manner hereinafter appearing;
And whereas the Governor of Balochistan is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of Article 4 of the Provisional Constitution (Amendment) Order, 1999 (Chief Executive’s Order No.9 of 1999) and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the Governor of Balochistan is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:?
1. Short title and commencement
(1) This Ordinance may be called the Balochistan Ground Water Right Administration (Amendment) Ordinance, 2001.
(2) It shall come into force at once
2. Amendment of section 3 of Act IX of 1978
In the Balochistan Ground Water Rights Administration Ordinance, 1978, hereinafter referred to as the said Ordinance, in clause (a) of subsection (1) of section 3, the word “Commissioner” shall be deleted.
3. Amendment of section 4 of Act IX of 1978
In the said Ordinance, in section 4,?? .
(a) in clause (a) for the words “Deputy Commissioner” and “Extra Assistant Director Agriculture” the words “Executive District Officer (Revenue)” shall be substituted.
(b) in clause (o); for the words “Commissioner of the Division” the words “District Coordination Officer of the District” shall be substituted.
(c) in clause (p), for the word “Commissioner” the words “District Coordination Officer” shall be substituted.
